Transfer Time Again

6th December 2016

Seems like it was only yesterday that I last was at Transfers.

I have been moved to the Ipswich Zone and will be serving in the Yamanto area with Elder Song from Korea.

I now have basically gone back to the other half of the Old Centenary Zone before it split.

This should be an exciting transfer.

Elder Winter and I had a smashing week Last week and we were so tired by the end of it all. Ohh Wow.

Love you all Gotta go

Sooo..

23rd November 2016

Well this one has to be super quick because I have a few other things I need to do while here on the Computer.

I have just been loving reading through Mosiah. It has truly been an amazing experience. This is also the slowest that I have ever read any book. 8 months ago I started with The Introduction and I have been studying everyday bar maybe 15 days max. Soo. I have taken quite some time.
One thing that I loved about this week of reading though is the faith of Alma and His people. And I honestly can not put it in Good enough words so read it!

Loved it Mosiah 23 and 24

Love you heaps. Stay awesome. And I am pretty sure that if you want to know how long I have left you can ask my mum =D

A long time ago

7th November 2016

In an Area far far away.

An Elder was.... Emailing.

So a few things happened/happening today.
1. It is my 18 month mark on the mission
2. It is P-day
3. The Badge that I got in the MTC broke at about the same time that I left my house 18 months ago.

Other things from this week are as follows.
We have become regulars at Baskin Robbins (An Ice Cream store)
I gained four kilos of food at a dinner appointment. Luckily it all left the next day.
We taught 28 or so lessons.
Had a miracle 6 investigators at Church. One of them being a super miracle.
We saw something that we never want to see again. But its Australia, so it probably will.
I made chocolate milk last a whole week (If you know me, then you know that it is a grand feat.)

Other than that, that is about it.

Hello.

31st October 2016

Hope you have all had a wonderful day today.

this week we were super super busy. And really tiring. Had no time to really sit down and do things.

Well I just want to share with you something that has stood out to me this week through my studies.

In Mosiah King Benjamin talks to his people. And all the people face their tents towards the Temple (Love that one)

In Chapter 5 it is the end of his address. King Benjamin talks a bit about how once we make the covenant of Baptism with Christ we take upon ourselves his name. And this name is written on our hearts. As we have made a covenant with God that, this is one of the things that we would do. That we wold take upon ourselves the name of Christ. And Always remember him and the things that he has done for us, individually, what he has saved us from. I was thinking about this promise that we make and then this particular verse stood out to me (Mosiah 5:12) "I say unto you that ye should remember to retain the name written in your hearts.."

It stood out to me because a lot of the time. I forget. I forget small trivial things, but they aren't important. Because of my weaknesses in memory I forget what Christ has done for me. I forget that it was him who suffered and died on that cross, so that I may be able to overcome sin and Death, with his Resurrection and his Atonement. I forget these things. And it is something that I must remember. and retain in Remembrance, the covenant that I have made to Always Remember Him, and to take upon myself his name. To be a witness at All times, In all things, and In all places.

Love you all

Story Time

24th October 2016

So this week was the Last week of Transfer 12! Man its gone by too fast

Well as the title says Story time for all you wonderful readers out there.

So here goes:

On a coldish morning in the Forest Lake Streets.... I'm joking I will get too it quicker than that.

So on Saturday we had the Baptisms of Lainey and Braith Johnston awesome twins from an awesome family.

To start off the morning we did some exercise with the Zone Leaders and then cam back to the Flat and changed to get ready to be at the chapel at 8am. A bit early for the 10am Baptism but we wanted to make sure the font would be filled and everything would be ready. The mum of the Twins was there with a few other sisters from the ward preparing everything for a flawless day and so we filled up the font Now I need to tell you something before we continue, I need to tell you these crucial things. There is a switch right near the Font that says with these words for the switch (Beginning from the Bottom to Top) Fill, OFF, Empty. Ok we can continue now.... (Basically turned the taps on and walked away) Helped set up a little bit and then turned them off at about 9:20 so the water could be turned back on at 9:40 so that it would be warm for the Baptism. 9:40 came around and we turned the font back on again just putting Hot water in so that over the time it would be warm. Got it to the right height and put the Switch into the OFF position with the thought that OFF means Water won't come out of the Taps (Just in Case there was an overflow or something like that) Turned the Taps off and then proceeded to do the Final touch ups Later. 10 minutes Later we come back just to do a final final check. And I asked Elder Winter. Does it look like it has gone down? He says no its fine. We carry on to go to meet the People coming in for the Baptism and start the program.....
We get up to the Baptism Ordination part, And we all come out. Elder Winter and I as one of the First people to get there. Both look into the Font and see not the full font that we left but rather a Font filled up to my ankles. The Feelings were this.... "OHMYGOSHWHATJUSTHAPPENED" I didn't say that though because I didn't want anyone else to freak out.  After Promptly getting everyone back into the Chapel and improvising the rest of the Program, We along with the Logan Elders set out to fill the font in the fastest time possible. By Turning the taps on full bore and then using the LOGAN Zone Method off Filling the Font with the Fire Hose... It was as it is in Pokemon. "Super Effective" as we were able to have the font filled in 15 minutes! We also at this time made sure that the Switch was on Fill and Not OFF. The rest of the Day went pretty smoothly after that. So we were filled with the spirit and filled the Font all in a short matter of time.

Love you ALL. Good Luck and Bye

Miracle

17th October 2016

So we had a pretty awesome miracle that I am glad that we have a Toyota for. So we forgot to fill up on Saturday and we had no petrol, well barely any petrol. But we had to go to Church. So we left and did our best to conserve petrol. With a little left we relied on the members to get us around for the rest of the day until our appointment at 5:30. Then we continued for the rest of the night. We parked up at our investigators house. (And we had 5kms left. When we got back in the car afterwards we had ....none , el zippo.. But we still were able to get back to our flat. And then we had to get petrol the next morning. We ended up being able to get it so we celebrated with Maccas!!

LOVE you all.>>

Hello All

4th October 2016

Well this week has been a very busy and interesting week. There has been so many little miracles in these Last couple of days.

It is quite amazing how all of it comes together. But truly amazing

Yesterday we had Lunch with the Stake President and also our investigator Bruce and afterwards we talked about Baptism and when he was finally going to get baptised (even though it hasn't been that long) but it was awesome. And he committed to be baptised on the 15th. However His wife has something on with Family on that day so it is being pushed back to the 22nd which is also the Johnston twins baptism so it will be a fun and busy day.

It has been amazing this week. Truly amazing. I wish that I could share the whole week but I just don't have time. Love you all.

Stop. Look. Got Lost

26th September 2016

So the title for this one is not about me but instead my companion.

so this week we went on splits. I'll give you the detailed as much as I can do story in 15 minutes.

So we begin....
It was a cold Wednesday night. Or at least as cold as it could get here in Brisbane city. The wind was blowing and the moon was out. Elder winter and I Departed our abode and traversed the roads of Forest Lake into Heathwood to go to Our ward Mission Leader's house. A 2 story House with a gate and a pool to the left of the house. We entered the gate and walked to the front door and Knocked just as we had done many times that day. Brother Sione came to the door and let us enter. We went to the dining room slash ping pong table where our usual meetings were held. We took our spots at the table and awaited the arrival of other volunteers. But alas we had no-one. We did however have one volunteer who was still at their house. So we decided to go get this wonderful man and take him with us.

We arrived at his house unscathed and were able to join together for a brief moment. Then after a brief meeting we split off into our different areas. I went with Brother Sione to go see someone while Elder Winter and Brother Manuel (our other volunteer for splits).

We cut back into Elders Winter story now.

Not knowing where to go he enters in an address that he doesn't even know if it is the right address and heads off. At an intersection he feels that he is going the wrong way. The member then says I know where this road is and starts to guide him. When they get to almost the Highway Elder Winter decides that it would be best if they went back to home so that they could be able to get his bearings. Because he can get too the house from there. They get to the house and he starts navigating. As his memory came back to him about how to get there. They passed the street that Brother Manuel lives on.

After all this they finally get to the right street and then Elder Winter goes and knocks on a door that we had knocked on the day before thinking it was the Less active that they were going to see. But nope he ends up talking to three Vietnamese guys. After all that he finally gets to the right house.

A 2 min journey turns into a 15 escapade.

I love him. Haha

Western Australia

19th September 2016

So this week we have had a pretty good week. Apart from having an Orthodontist appointment on Wednesday morning and then being used as a taxi for an Elder picking up his Golden and then having a dentist on Thursday and then having Weekly planning on Friday it was quite productive we were able to see some awesome little miracles.

This week we focused on the Tree Of Life and the meaning behind it.

it was a great way to view it. Because in 1 Nephi 8
It says that the mist of Darkness descended upon all and upon the path and all that would take the path. And we have all taken that path. And we are all travelling. So the mist of Darkness can at times come upon us and shroud us in darkness.
That is why we have to rely on the Light of the World to be our light in the dark
Well I love you all

Hello

5th  September  2016

We have had a smashing week this week.

We were so busy between teaching and travelling that we didn't get much time to talk to some people. So that is definitely something we are going to work on this week.

Well I guess something That I learnt this week comes from 2 Nephi 7:10-11

10 Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness and hath no light?
11 Behold all ye that kindle fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks, walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks which ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand—ye shall lie down in sorrow.

So I was thinking about it and one of the things that I have learnt from this particular scripture is that We have the Fire of testimony and we have the spark of Hope that is ignited everytime we bear that testimony. And as we walk down life's dark track our testimony can light the way so that we may be able to experience peace and Salvation. through He who is the Biggest Light (Christ) we can be filled with Light and be guided step by step back to the presence of our Father in Heaven.

Love you All. Ka Kite

Comos Da?

31st August  2016

How are all of you. mabuti?

that's Awesome.

(Google translation:Since this week we had a new missionaries come from missions in the                 Philippines. His name is Elder Afable. So me and Elder Foster is now in a three way with her.)

or for those who are not learned in Tagalog and Google translate
Because this week we had a new missionary come into the mission from the Philippines. His name is Elder Afable. So me and Elder Foster are now in a three way with him.

#Googletranslates

So yeah. We got a call on Tuesday telling us to come to the mission office cause you are picking up a golden.

So yeahp. Threeway again. This time though we are learning English because we have listened to Elder Afable and he is better than we are. Actually Funny Story

We were at Bruce's house (Part Member family)
And we were teaching the lesson and Elder Afable teaches his bit and says I'm sorry if my english isn't very good. Too which Bruce (who is a very straight up guy) says. Your English is really good at least I can understand you unlike this one here (Pointing to Elder Foster) It caused me to laugh a bit.

We have had a Good week.

Ok the 6:6 Challenge
1 Nephi is to write that which is of worth in our Journals(Daily)
2 Nephi is to Set up a standard among those around you of who you are and what you believe (Daily)

Well another one down

22nd August  2016

Another week gone by and everyone is reminding me of how little time I have left. I guess I sort of deserve it a little though because I have been doing it a lot.

Actually you know one of the things my mum asked me this week. When is your finish date? Talk about trunkiness. Oh well she is my mum.

Well I have learnt a lot this week.

I have a challenge for everyone. I call it the 6:6 challenge

The rules or explanation
For 6 weeks and 6 days you will do what the following scriptures invite you to do. There are weekly goals and daily goals.

The Scriptures are
1 Nephi 6:6
2 Nephi 6:6
Jacob 6:6
Mosiah 6:6
Alma 6:6
Helaman 6:6
3 Nephi 6:6
Mormon 6:6
Moroni 6:6

But those are the scriptures I invite you to read them and then email me back what you think each one represents (in other words the challenge to do)

I will explain more Next week and then you can start it on Monday 29th if you choose to accept. I promise you that as you do this you will be able to find hidden meanings and messages in the scriptures.

I love you all and wish you all the best for this week.
In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Week... Who cares.

15th  August  2016

Well this week was good, got to meet a lot more of the ward members and also got to know some of the investigators and part member families very well.

one in Particular is the Johnston family, The mum and the Oldest Kids are baptized and the Husband has been having the missionaries over since 1996. So we are going to work with them to see what we can do to get him baptized, hopefully before I go home.

have had some fun this week getting to know some of the people in this area. We taught a 13yr old girl, Kadiatu, the Plan of Salvation and she liked it, then we invited her to Church. On sunday we went around to follow up but... She was still sleeping. She was ready by 8am though she just woke up after we were there. Oh well she is still pretty keen to come and we are seeing her tomorrow. So should be good.

Have had an alright rest of the week. We were able to work with the members a lot and even have been invited to the Stake President's house twice for Dinner and teaching another Part Member Family. So the work is progressing. And it going to keep progressing!

Love you all hope you have a good week.

Field of Dreams... Nope its the Bunya Forest

15th  July 2016

Unfortunately this week we have found out that not too many people are interested in knowing about Prophets and God Speaking to us and also for some reason they are not wanting free service either. Well I guess we all have our agency.

it has been a tiring week as one of the trio was not feeling the best which led to a few days caged up in the flat and ending up like Gollum. Yeah it got a bit boring, but used it wisely, did some study watched some trainings and read some books.

We are still working with a few people though to help them Follow our Saviour's Example and we look forward to bringing them to the Fount of living water, Or at least bring them to the baptismal font.

Love you all.

Enoggya Forest

4th  July  2016

it is quite interesting how much happens in a week.

I have a new resolution... To be... Not so fat. Actually.. To be skinny. And I am not just saying this because Elder Palmer is a fitness nut or because the office elders are twigs, but because... I want to be lighter. I'm 87kgs :'( I wasn't this big when I came out. So I'm going down. and maybe if my thinking id right considering last time I lost weight. I might be able to jump a foot or maybe two. Ok probably not a foot, but maybe hitting closer to 6" than 5"7'

Ok... So this week I have learnt some interesting things. Most of them however are not in my head at this time. But I did come up with a few ideas about how I can be more effective more on to it and more awesome.

Okay. I have forgotten... Tis not come to my remembrance at this time

Well I guess.... I have finished the Book of Mormon for the fifth time and have conjointly started on 6th and 7th times. Found a few things that stood out to me. Have also been reading some Church history books getting to know a little more background and such. Oooh and there is a Book called The House of the Lord that I might begin to crack into. I'm reading I think 9 books at the moment.

My Companions are awesome. They are hilarious, and Elder Palmer... Is a good man, knows alot of stuff, so I am picking his brain for a while. Also observing how he has used the Atonement in his life, cause man He has gone through a MIGHTY change. And it is awesome to be working with the end result of that. truly a Captain Moroni type of man.

Well I can't think about what else to write. So here are some photos

The Special Number 6

27th  June 2016

I'll explain the title soon.

but just so you know I am still alive and I am doing well.

Now to the Number

On Monday after emailing me and My companion got a call from the Assistants saying that Preident wanted to meet with Elder Cadeado.

One Interview later Elder Cadeado comes out and says. "President wants to send me up to Townsville" Ok....

Well we went about Monday then got a call tuesday saying Elder Cadeado your flight is at 2pm. So Yeah.... Anyways President talks to me and says Elder you're going to go with Bunya Forest. . . . . Yes President....

Tuesday I had to pack because I had no idea that I was being transferred as well.

Then On Wednesday I find out, you are still going to work in Enoggera but the office Elders will cover it... Ok....

So because President doesn't want me in the office all day but wants me working, I am as I call it Full time in Bunya Forest but also part time in Enoggera.

So My Bunya Companions are Elders Palmer (From Virginia, USA) and Elder Contreras (From California, USA)
And the Beautiful office Elders are Elder Christensen (Utah, USA) and Elder Derhak (Rochester, NY, USA)

So a few things about my companions.
Elder Palmer, His dad is from Jersey and his Grandad is a very interesting Fellow (Granddad is... well lets say he might have carried around a violin case in a black suit) Very interesting story that I hope I can get into my journal.
Elder Contreras is so funny but a very good missionary who is destined for greatness
Elder Derhak, was born in Utah but moved to NY when he was 11. Also a wizz on computers
Elder Christensen is a good basketball player. And went to Uni before his mission

So in Essence I have had six Companions in a week
I have also got this count
International: Elders; Tupou, Gustafsson, Bullock, Acevedo Crespo
American: Elders; Banks, Derhak, Palmer, Contreras, Chritensen.

In Literally a week, My Non American Companion count got Smashed by the Americans, And I Doubled the amount of Companions. All in quite literally three days.

now I need to get the American count down again :I

Oh Well. This week was awesome, it was good and insightful, Elder Palmer and Elder Contreras are awesome, like beyond the moon awesome

I guess something that I learned from today was from President Ezra Taft Benson.
I need to not only read the Book of Mormon more. but I also need to live it and share it. So that is one of my goals that I have for this week.

I love you all, and i hope that everything gets easier to understand.
